Bulldogs Recognize Legion Members During the Royal Canadian Legion’s 100th Anniversary Year
The Mt. Brydges Bulldogs are proud to announce a special initiative recognizing the tremendous contribution of the Royal Canadian Legion and its members to our community.
In celebration of the Royal Canadian Legion’s 100th anniversary, the Bulldogs will be providing free admission to all regular-season home games for members of Royal Canadian Legion Branch 251 whose membership is dated 2025 or earlier.
Throughout the upcoming regular season, eligible Branch 251 members will simply need to present their valid Legion membership card at Bulldogs home games to receive complimentary admission.
A Thank You to Those Who Serve
”The Royal Canadian Legion has played an important role in supporting veterans, their families and communities across Canada for generations,” said Andy Friyia, President of the Mt. Brydges Bulldogs. “As the Legion celebrates its 100th year, we felt it was important for the Bulldogs to recognize and thank the members of Branch 251 for everything they do for our community.”
The Bulldogs believe junior hockey is about more than what happens on the ice. It is about community, tradition, service and bringing people together. The Legion embodies those same values, and the Bulldogs are pleased to celebrate this important milestone alongside Branch 251.
A Challenge to the PJHL
The Bulldogs also believe this initiative is something that can—and should—extend beyond Mt. Brydges.
We challenge all of our fellow PJHL partners to join us in recognizing Royal Canadian Legion members in their own communities.
The 100th anniversary of the Royal Canadian Legion is a significant milestone, and it provides an opportunity for junior hockey teams across Ontario to show their appreciation for the veterans, families and community volunteers who have supported our communities for generations.
“We hope other PJHL teams will consider doing something similar,” Friyia said. “Our Legion branches are an important part of the communities we represent. This is our way of saying thank you and making sure those who have given so much to our communities know that they are welcome at our rink.”
The Mt. Brydges Bulldogs encourage all fans and members of the community to join us in recognizing 100 years of service, remembrance and community commitment by the Royal Canadian Legion.
