Mount Brydges, ON – Two intriguing matchups are on tap this weekend as the Bulldogs will host the Thamesford Trojans (Saturday) and the Lucan Irish (Sunday).
Saturday, December 21 vs Thamesford (13-12-1-0-0-1, 6th)
Arena and Time: Tri-Township Arena, 7:30PM
Last Meeting: Friday, November 29 (3-2 SOW – Game Report)
Season Series: 1 W | 0 L | 1 OTL | 0 T | 1 SOW | 0 SOL
The Opponent: The Trojans are looking for better fortunes this coming Saturday in Mt. Brydges. December has not been kind to the green and white who have lost three straight contests (4-1 at Port Stanley, 5-2 vs North Middlesex, and 5-2 at Exeter in Zurich). The Trojans will be looking to spoil Teddy Bear Toss Night in Mt. Brydges and get themselves back to winning ways. On Friday evening, the Trojans will host the Aylmer Spitfires.
Sunday, December 22 vs Lucan (7-20-0-0-3-0, 8th)
Arena and Time: Tri-Township Arena, 8:00PM
Last Meeting: Sunday, December 1 (7-6 L – Game Report)
Season Series: 3 W | 1 L | 0 OTL | 0 T | 1 SOW | 0 SOL
The Opponent: The Irish have picked up three wins in their last four. One of those victories was against the Bulldogs at the beginning of the month. A slight stumble last week against Petrolia won’t dampen the Irish spirit and Sunday promises to be yet another tough clash between these two hockey clubs. Prior to entering Mt. Brydges on Sunday night, Lucan will be in Parkhill to challenge the Stars on Saturday night.
