Mount Brydges, ON – After a full weekend of rest, the team will engage in three contests in as many nights from Friday, November 29 to Sunday, December 1.
On Friday evening, the team will travel to the Thamesford District Recreation Centre to challenge the Trojans (12-9-0-0). These two teams clashed at the beginning of the month from the Tri-Township Arena. That night, it was the Trojans slipping past the Bulldogs via a 4-3 overtime victory.
Deacon Kroesbergen, Nolan Griffiths, and Logan Gianelli earned tallies for the home side. Colin Ideson turned aside 36 of 40 shots that came his way. Yusuf Jomaa ensured the visitors collected the extra point at the 3:46 mark of the extra frame.
At the time of this post, the Trojans (3rd) enjoy a four point gap between themselves and the visiting Bulldogs (6th). A gap which the away side is eager to close.
The puck drops at 7:30PM.
A quick turnaround sees the Bulldogs hosting the Aylmer Spitfires (6-13-1-0) on Saturday night from the cozy confines of the Tri-Township Arena.
It has been a minute since these two clubs have met. The Spits and Dogs last did battle on Wednesday, October 9 from the East Elgin Community Complex. On that occasion, it was Boys from Brydges collecting maximum points via a 5-2 decision.
Cameron Reif, Tyler Taplay, Thomas Guidolin, Logan Gianelli, and Deacon Kroesbergen contributed to the cause. Colin Ideson stopped 17 of 19 to earn the win.
The puck drops at 7:30PM.
As mentioned above, there is no rest for the wicked this weekend as the Bulldogs will welcome the Lucan Irish (4-18-0-0) to the Tri-Township Arena on Sunday evening.
The Dogs and Irish recently tangoed back on Sunday, November 17 from the Lucan Community Centre. At the end of sixty-minutes it was the away side sliding past their hosts via a 3-2 final.
Nolan Griffiths and Ben Landers ensured the Bulldogs were kept just beyond the reach of the Irish. The power-play clicked for the Bulldogs and it was Alex Laszlo, 2:23 into the final stanza, with the game-winning-goal that afternoon. Colin Ideson turned aside 36 of 38 shots peppered his way.
Puck-drop is slated for 8:00PM.
