Mount Brydges, ON – One could say that the rescheduled game between the Bulldogs and the Port Stanley Sailors is a cursed one. The game proceeded to the 10:33-mark of the middle frame before being suspended due to timeclock issues. The following night, at home, the Bulldogs did their best to claw their way back from a 3-0 deficit only to come up one goal short against the high-flying Exeter Hawks.

Saturday, January 25 vs Exeter (3-2 L)
The Hawks flew into the Tri-Township Arena on Saturday evening looking to right their course via their lone game of the weekend. On the other side of the ice, the Bulldogs were striding into the festivities looking to shake off an odd and (still) unfinished game against the Port Stanley Sailors just hours prior to this contest. The 192 fans in attendance were treated to a quality game of junior hockey as we are now in the business end of the regular season.
Chase Wedlake got the away side on the right flight path at 16:17 of the initial frame. The Hawks would take their lead into the first intermission and were successful on the shot-clock by winning the period with a 17-13 tally.
The middle stanza was also won by the visiting side with two goals under five minutes. Cater Bowerman (1:05) pushed the Hawks ahead by two. Chase Wedlake (5:15) notched his second of the contest to ensure the Hawks were up by three heading into the third and final period.
In the final frame, the home side had found their legs and some life as they pursued for greener pastures in this one. Jack Uniac (Cal Crinklaw, Justin Zirul) pulled one back for the Bulldogs at 9:23. Logan Gianelli (Alex Laszlo, Noah Cameron) earned a power-play marker at 16:33 to bring the Bulldogs to within one shot of tying the game. However, the Hawks would hang on to collect maximum points despite being out-shot 18-8 in the final frenzy.
Logan Griffiths turned aside 40 of 43 shots fired his way.
