Weekend Review: Bulldogs See Out Sailors and Trojans

Mount Brydges, ON – This past weekend hosted two close matchups, great individual efforts, and impressive saves. On Friday night, the Dogs hosted the Port Stanley Sailors and came away with a solid 6-3 victory. The following evening, the Dogs would edge the Thamesford Trojans in overtime by way of a 6-5 final.

Friday, January 30 vs Port Stanley (Attendance: 130) – Game Summary

Four Bulldogs (Jack Uniac, Ben Funston, Logan Gianelli, and Adam Dunn) had one goal and one assist as the Dogs claimed a valuable two points against the Sailors. Logan Griffiths made thirty-two saves on thirty-five shots to earn his twelfth win of the season.

Saturday, January 31 vs Thamesford (Attendance: 175) – Game Summary

Noah Cameron scored a pair of goals and added a helper as the Bulldogs out-ran the Trojans in this thrilling matchup. Newly acquired Andy Bastin lead from the blueline with a goal and two assists. J.J. Fogarty scored the game-winning-goal to secure the extra point for the home side. Parker Barnard was sensational and made forty-four saves on forty-nine shots to earn his sixth win of the campaign.
