Mount Brydges, ON – The Mount Brydges Bulldogs Junior Hockey Club is pleased to welcome 2007-born defenseman Matthew Van Bommel.
Listed at 6’1″ and 175 lbs., the Strathroy-native comes to the Bulldogs from the London Junior Knights U18 AAA program. During the 2024-2025 season, Van Bommel amassed 15 points (4 goals and 11 assists) in 32 regular season games played.
This season will be his first full stint in junior hockey, but the defender is no stranger to the junior ranks. Last season, Matthew suited up for the Bulldogs on four occasions during the regular season and postseason respectively.
Van Bommel has chosen to wear the number three (3) jersey this season.
